Who is ycrystal?

Her name is Yolande. She lives in Shropshire, UK. She has been living in England for the last 3 and a half years. She grew up in South Africa with her parents and siblings. She speaks 2 languages fluent: English and Afrikaans.

She has always enjoyed art & design. As a child her mother gave her loads of crayons and cookie dough to play with. No doubt this has created a love for all things crafty and creative.

I belong to a small group of crafting friends who get together on a regular basis to do all sorts of crafts. My aim for this page is to add some photo's with descriptions of the items that I create at these crafts sessions for you to look at and comment on.

When did I start creating art you may ask? Well, I think I must have been a toddler, as I remember my mom always letting me make things out of the cookie dough whilst she was baking and even before that I had been given loads of crayons and paper.

I love creating pieces of jewelry from a range of materials. My favorite materials include clay, beads, felt, and wire. Though I would never limit myself to just a specific type of material.
