Design Emporium

Today I went to College to put up my artwork for our End Of Year Show at TCAT. I finished it of, so I'm really pleased. We have a private viewing first for friends and family, then after that it will be up at College for the final show. I put up 2D and 3D art that I produced throughout the year on my Art & Design course. It has been a very good year in all. I hope everyone else has had some good things happen this year. I hate to think that there are people out there with no positive experiences in life.

I have also been selling my things on e-bay. It is still early days, so I am still listing quite a few different things that I've made as well as some leggings that I've bought. I guess I'm really testing the market and finding my niche. As I'm always doing crochet, I will continue to sell handmade crochet, in particular crochet jewellery like anklets, bracelets,earrings and neck chokers. I find, that I am starting to develop my own unique style, which is great, because it has taken me a long time to find a style that suits me. The other thing I like making is things with clay. I have made beads, buttons and pendants. I think the buttons are the best I've come up with because there is not a lot of people locally doing it that I've seen. The majority of clay items are from China that I've seen on e-bay. I am planning on designing clay buttons that you use to make jewellery and to add a touch of individuality to accessories, furnishings and crafts. I like the idea of creating individual buttons and clay items where there are only a limited amount of each design. I don't want them all to be too exact, the more different each one, the better. Then you never have to worry about there being another one exactly the same.

I can sit here and type all night, but I have to make some more things and then get rest because tomorrow is another busy day for me.
